Gourd shaped pitcher decorated in the Limoges fashion by William P. McDonald in 1882, who depicted birds cruising through the night sky. Impressed Rookwood in block letters, the date and shape 52 and incised with the artist’s monogram. There have been breaks to the handle which have been restored. Height is 12 3/4 inches.
