“All you can write is what you see.”

Woody Guthrie wrote these words at the bottom of a lyric in 1940. He had just written a song about the inequality he had witnessed in his travels through the United States. "This Land Is Your Land" would become one of the most poignant and iconic folk songs in American history.

A tribute to Woody Guthrie and his optimism, these pencils feature a design inspired by the lyrics of "This Land Is Your Land." On each pencil, you'll find a “ribbon of highway,” an “endless skyway”, and a “golden valley.” The matte black ferrule and earth-toned eraser are a nod to the many miles Guthrie traveled. The balanced graphite formulation works well for both writing and drawing, so you too can fill your pages with what you see.

These pencils feature a balanced core similar to that of the Blackwing Pearl pencils, which is smooth and dark yet holds a strong point. The pencils' erasers are latex free, and replacement erasers are available in a variety of colors.
