Several layers of lacquer give the filigree ballpoint pen an incomparable optical depth for a pure color experience. The tip sleeve is made of brass, the lacquer layers are additionally polished after each layer. The cap is either made of sterling silver or made of brass and rose gold plated. Pens are available with caps finished in either a smooth or intricately engraved pinstripe guilloche. The cap is then polished elaborately.
